A memory is stuck on "processing"
Processing usually takes under a minute. If it takes longer, check your connection and pull down on the timeline to refresh. If it is still stuck after a few minutes, write to us with the approximate time you recorded it and we will look into it.
My reminders don't arrive
Reminders are delivered as notifications, so Recoll needs permission to send them. Open your phone's Settings, find Recoll and make sure notifications are allowed. In the app, the Reminders screen shows a banner when they are switched off. Reminders also respect your quiet hours: nothing arrives while you sleep.
Recoll set a reminder I didn't ask for
Recoll can suggest reminders from things you mention in passing. You decide how much initiative it takes: in Profile, open "AI proactivity" and pick a level, from "Only what I ask" to "Surprise me". Any reminder can be dismissed from the Reminders screen.
How do I manage or cancel my subscription?
Subscriptions are handled by the App Store or Google Play, not by Recoll. To change or cancel a plan, open your subscriptions in the store you bought it from. Cancelling keeps the plan active until the end of the period you already paid for. Refunds are also requested through the store.
I subscribed but the app still shows the free plan
Open Profile and tap "Restore" on the plans screen. If that doesn't work, make sure you are signed in with the same store account you used to subscribe, then write to us.
How do I delete my account?
In the app, go to Profile → Delete account. Your memories, recordings and reminders are deleted from our servers, not just switched off. You can also ask us by email from the address linked to your account.
Where is my data and who can see it?
Only you. Your recordings and transcripts are encrypted in transit and at rest, and AI is used solely to transcribe and structure your memories and to answer your questions. We never sell your data or use it for advertising. The details are in the Privacy Policy.
Can I export my memories?
Not from the app yet. In the meantime, write to us and we will send you a copy of your data.
